Who Are We
In-House Immigration exists to provide immigration training for businesses who employ non-British nationals. We also provide immigration training for landlords, concerned about the new ‘Right to Rent’ legislation.
As practising immigration lawyers we noticed there was an increasing trend of mistakes being made by employers who did not know whether or not they could employ a person. We recognised that there was a real need for simple, clear and comprehensive immigration training for businesses that employ overseas nationals.
Proposed changes to the law are likely to increase liability to employers. If it ever was viable to employ illegal workers, it certainly won’t be any longer. Ignorance of the law is no excuse – the new legislative changes now create liability where employers are simply ignorant of the law, and not just where they deliberately break it. This means that not knowing if an employee has no right to work will not allow an employer to escape penalties.
IHI offer a solution to this problem and make a difference to businesses employing workers from overseas. All of our trainers are qualified, practicing lawyers with extensive experience in providing immigration advice to individuals and organisations of all sizes. We are skilled at tailoring the information that you require, and then providing it to you in a way that makes it clear and easy to understand, to ensure that each training session that we run will suit your specific needs.
